From June 5 to 11, the "Champions Match" event started in Batumi, organized by the World International Chess Federation "FIDE" and the Chess Federation of Georgia.

The tournament will be held according to FIDE rules. Each of the matches will consist of six classic games. Time control: for each game is 90 minutes for the first 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game with an increment of 30 seconds per move starting from move 1.

The Competition will be held between Ukrainian and Georgian top players: • Mariya Muzychuk (2515) • Anna Muzychuk (2504) • Nino Batsiashvili (2467) • Meri Arabidze (2441) On June 5 at 20:00 at the hotel "Legend" a technical meeting "Champions Match" was conducted.

Players has best conditions for play, beautiful play hall and friendly atmosphere. It should be noted, that the order of colors of the participants was decided with Georgian wine using the original method. The one who chose white wine "Teliani Valley - Tvishi" would play with white pieces and the one who chose red wine "Teliani Valley - Khvanchkara" would play with black pieces. In the first round will meet: • Maria Muzychuk - Nino Batsiashvili • Anna Muzychuk – Meri Arabidze The technical meeting was attended by: Akaki Iashvili Fide special tasks director, President of the Georgian Chess Federation and he welcomed and wished success to the participants. The first round of the „Champions Match”will take place on June 6 at 15:00 at the “Legend” Hotel.
